Default Open? Edit

I use your homebrew a lot and I would prefer the nav box to have a default of being open (otherwise as I look at different feats, I have to keep reopening it). Maybe we could figure out a way to have it remember a setting? As it is now, I would prefer it to be open by default, but if it was annoying you for some reason, then obviously keep it closed. --Andrew Arnott (talk, email) 16:54, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

It's just that it's been growing pretty big, and I figure that the pages look better with the default being closed; that said, perhaps someone out there who knows wiki-code might know how to allow it to remember a setting? Barring that, you could always have a window with this page open ;-) --Ghostwheel 17:10, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
The way I see it, the only thing it is compromising by being long is the breadcrumbs below it. And breadcrumbs are just another form of navigation. I don't mind having all of the navigation visible (ie. this nav box). --Andrew Arnott (talk, email) 17:29, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
Remembering settings requires; cookies, sessions or databases. Wikicode does not let you manipulate any of them, I believe. --TK-Squared 17:44, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
This argument is a great reason to put the navbox below the breadcrumb, not above it. Surgo 19:17, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
Good point. I don't see any reason that it needs to be above the breadcrumb. If it is below, then it can take up as much screen real estate as it needs too. --Andrew Arnott (talk, email) 19:36, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
@Surgo: As I've said before, if you've got a bot to do it, go for it. Doing it all manually though feels like a real pain. --Ghostwheel 21:16, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
All your feats navboxes belong to me. --TK-Squared 13:06, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for making the changes :-) --Ghostwheel 18:14, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
