Class Features
Edit
All of the following are class features of the knife master.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The knife fighter can use all light weapons and light armor.
Maneuvers: You begin your career with knowledge of 3 martial maneuvers. The Disciples available to you are Diamond mind, Short blade, setting sun, shadow hand and Iron heart. Once you know a maneuver as long as you have a slot for that maneuver open you can use it. A maneuver usable by knife masters is considered an Ex ability unless otherwise noted in the description. Your maneuvers are not affected by spell resistance, and do not provoke attacks of opportunities when you initiate one. You learn additional maneuvers at higher levels, as shown on Table: Knife master. You must meet a maneuver's prerequisite to learn it. See Table: Knife master to determine the highest level maneuver you can learn.
Stances: A knife master gains Stances the same as a swordsage but he can only get them from Diamond mind, short blade, setting sun, shadow hand and tiger claw.
Danger Sense (Ex): At level 1, the knife master gains a +4 bonus to initiative. At 4th level the knife master gains uncanny dodge. At 8th level the knife master gains improved uncanny dodge. At 12th level the knife master may reroll his initiative taking the higher of the two rolls.
Surprise Strike (Ex): At level 1, if a knife master attacks his opponent while the opponent is denied his dexterity bonus and the knife master is using a light weapon he can make another attack at a -5 penalty. This penalty decreases to -3 at 6th level and -1 at 11th level. -Suggested Change: Reword it in such a way where you are restricted to ONE extra strike PER ROUND.
Bonus Feats: you will gain weapon finesse at level 1, Dodge at level 3, Mobility and Two weapon fighting at level 5, Spring Attack at level 7, Whirlwind Attack at level 11, Bladestorm at level 16, Improved Bladestorm at level 20. Bladestorm allows you to take 2 attacks at your highest base attack bonus on all the enemies adjacent to you within reach. Improved Bladestorm allows you to instead take 3 attacks at your highest base attack bonus under the same rules and allows you to add the effects of precise cut and rend automatically if you hit with even one attack. Or instead it that option you can choose your bonus feats.
Evasion (Ex): At level 2 and higher, a knife master can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If he makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, he instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if the knife master is wearing light armor or no armor. A prone knife master does not gain the benefit of evasion.
Defensive Wit (Ex): At level 2 and higher, the knife master gains his Wisdom bonus to AC.
Improved Evasion (Ex): At level 7, a knife masters evasion ability improves. He still takes no damage on a successful Reflex saving throw against attacks, but henceforth he takes only half damage on a failed save. A helpless knife master does not gain the benefit of improved evasion.
Now You See It. Now You Don't. (Ex): At level 9 the knife master may feint as a free action, and if using a light weapon gains a +2 circumstance bonus on the check.
Offensive Wit (Ex): At level 9, the knife master gains a bonus to his attacks equal to his Wisdom bonus.
Precise Cut (Ex): At level 11, if the knife master beats the opponent's AC by more then 5 the attack causes 1d2 Dexterity or 1d2 Strength damage, this can only be done once per round.
Pounce/Rend (Ex): At level 8 the knife fighter gains the ability to pounce on a charge and rend if two attacks hit.
Shutter Effect (Ex): At level 15 the knife master can start to flicker as a move action incurring a 25% miss chance to hit the knife master. because this isn’t an illusion, things like true seeing does not remove the 20% miss chance. This ability does not allow the knife master to move through solid objects. At level 20 the miss chance increases to 50%
Two for One (Ex): At level 14 A Knife fighter now only needs to spend a standard action to full attack
Running Strike (Ex): At level 18 the knife master can move around and attack everyone who’s threaten space he enters. The knife master does not need to run in a straight line.

The art of knife fighting has always been around always growing always evolving never stopping. Knife fighting was indefinitely originally used to fight other people, but also simpler things like hunting. On the other hand the art of the short blade was only recently created. The art of the short blade was created by a group of traveling men who specialized in fighting with knives and would go around looking for fights with some of the best fighters ever. Of course over time they got better and better until they could no longer be defeated so they started to hand down their skills, and then those people handed them down and so forth. Now only people that are crazy enough to fight with weapons smaller then their forearms learn that true power isn't in the weapon its in themselves. Only knife masters can use maneuvers from this disciple.
