Soul Power: The Execrator uses a resource called 'Soul Power' that is pulled from the life essence of themselves and other creatures. The Execrator has a pool of Soul Points equal to his class levels + charisma modifier. This pool is refreshed every day after 8 hours of rest. Soul Points can only be recovered through using Essence Drain and Essence Tap.

Essence Drain: The Execrator can create a link between himself and an enemy that slowly drains the victim's life essences. As a standard action, the Execrator makes a ranged touch attack against an enemy. If it hits, the link is formed between the two. When the link is formed, the victim takes 1d6 damage. This damage increases every 2 levels by +1d6 damage. Every round, the Execrator must use a swift action to maintain the link and deal damage again that round or the link is broken. As a swift action, the victim may attempt to break the link with a Will Save (DC 10 + 1/2 Class Level + Charisma Modifier). If a link is broken by the victim, then the Execrator cannot form a link with that person again for 2d4 rounds. While a link is established, the Execrator is flat-footed and any damage incurred caused to the Execrator forces a Concentration check vs a DC equal to the damage done. When the link is broken, either by not concentrating on the link, a successful will save or damage incurred, the Execrator gains a number of Soul Points equal to the number of rounds the link was held for. This ability does effect any creature immune to energy drain. Soul Points are only drained from creatures that would grant you experience.

Essence Tap: The Execrator may regain Soul Points by voluntarily taking damage. As a swift action, the Execrator can take up to damage equal to his character level * 5 vile damage. For every 3 points of damage taken, the Execrator regains 1 Soul Point.

Execrates: The Execrator is capable of cursing his foes with vile execrations, formed from long forgotten words of power. To use an execration, the Execrator must spend a number of Soul Points noted in the execrate's entry. In order to 'roll' an execrate, or if the Execrator wishes to cast the same execrate on a person again while an execrate is still up, then they must pay the Refresh cost instead of the norma cost. A refresh cost stacks for the number of times the execrate has been refreshed; so an execrate with a refresh cost of +2 will cost 2 Soul Points on the first refresh, 4 Soul Points on the second refresh, 6 Soul Points and so on. Also, an execrate may have a different casting time for Refreshing.

Any one target may only have one execrate active on them per Execrator. If you attempt to use an execrate on an enemy that you have already execrated, then you overwrite the original execrate (or refresh it). You cannot dismiss an execration.
