Becoming a Transcendant
Edit
Adventurers who have encountered or worked beside the followers of many different gods sometimes come to realize that the gods are not so different, that good and evil, law and chaos, and even neutrality are not much more than sides and strategies in a struggle for relevance and recognition. Clerics and paladins that suffer within the constraints of their alignment are most likely to become transcendants. Others with an open mind and an inclination for magic sometimes follow the path of every way.

Class Features
Edit
All of the following are class features of the transcendant.
Base Class: When you become a transcendant, choose an existing spellcasting class in which you meet the prerequisites; this is your base class. Your transcendant levels stack with your base class levels for the purpose of determining caster level for both the base class and your transcendant domain spells. All class skills of the base class become class skills for transcendant levels.
Find a New God: At each level, a transcendant expands her worship to include a new deity, and gains access to one of that deity's domains. The new deity can not be of the same alignment as a deity from which she already receives a domain. A transcendant with domains granted by deities of all nine alignments may worship a new deity as long as its alignment is different from the alignments of all gods gained by finding a new god. For example, Vivalia, a cleric of Pelor, a neutral good deity, has two domains granted by Pelor, Healing, and the Sun. When she becomes a transcendant and first finds a new god, she may not choose another neutral good deity. Instead the decides to worship Nerull, a neutral evil deity, and gains the Death domain. The next time she gains a new deity she can not choose either a neutral good or neutral evil deity, because she already has domains from deities of those alignments. When she obtains her ninth transcendant level, she may, and must, choose a new neutral good deity to worship, perhaps Ehlonna.
Domain Spell Slots: A transcendant gains domain spell slots based on her caster level. She does not gain more spell slots of any spell level than her transcendant level. These slots can be used only to prepare or cast domain spells, in the same manner and using the same attribute as the base class.

Transcendent Alignment: Beginning at first level, a transcendant who violates the strictures of a deity or an alignment no longer looses powers tied to that deity or alignment, and need not atone to regain powers lost in this way.
