You understand how to use the exotic weapons associated with the weapon groups that you have mastered.
Prerequisite: Base attack bonus +1
Benefit: When you take this feat, you gain proficiency in the exotic weapons associated with the weapon groups that you already know how to use. Whenever you take a Weapon Group proficiency feat, you also gain proficiency in the exotic weapons (but not the exotic double weapons) associated with that group.
Axes: dwarven waraxe (one-handed use).
Bows: elven double bow , greatbow AaEG , composite greatbow CW .
CW Claw Weapons: bladed gauntlet , claw bracer AaEG , panther claw AaEG , stump knife AaEG , tiger claws AaEG , ward cestus AaEG .
AaEG Clubs and Maces: warmace (one-handed use), tonfa CW .
AaEG Crossbows: great crossbow , AaEG hand crossbow.
Druid Weapons: greatspear .
CW Flails and Chains: chain-and-dagger , AaEG spiked chain, three-section staff , AaEG whip, whipdagger .
AaEG Heavy Blades: bastard sword, khopesh , mercurial longsword AaEG , mercurial greatsword AaEG .
AaEG Monk Weapons: butterfly sword , tonfa AaEG .
AaEG Maces and Clubs: double mace .
AaEG Picks and Hammers: dire pick , gnome battlepick CW , maul AaEG (one-handed use).
CW Polearms: heavy poleaxe .
CW Slings and Thrown Weapons: bolas, chakram , gnome calculus AaEG , halfling skiprock AaEG , orc shotput AaEG , AaEG shuriken, throwing iron .
AaEG Spears and Lances: duom , greatspear AaEG , harpoon CW , mani AaEG , spinning javelin AaEG .
AaEG Normal: When using a weapon with which you are not proficient, you take a −4 penalty on attack rolls.
Special: If you include exotic weapons from sources other than the d20 System Reference Document, the DM should assign those weapons to a group as appropriate for the campaign. The lists above includes weapons featured in the (marked Arms and Equipment Guide AaEG) and (marked Complete Warrior CW).
Barbarians, bards, clerics, fighters, monks, paladins, rangers, and rogues may select Weapon Group (exotic weapons) as one of their 1st-level Weapon Group proficiencies.
fighter may select Weapon Group (exotic weapons) as one of his fighter bonus feats.
