Balance Edit

I'm not sure if this is strong enough to be rogue level. I'm also tempted to allow 3 size categories with Mighty Rage, but then I'll have to copy a bunch of text from the expansion power, rather than what I'm currently doing by linking to it. Any comments are appreciated, as always. --Andrew Arnott (talk, email) 17:34, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not seeing any immediate abuse that would make it wizard-level, but I'd stay away from 3 size categories. Perhaps nix the str bonuses from Expansion, perhaps, since you're getting them as a part of rage as well? --Ghostwheel 17:37, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Well, the extra Str is there to make it a pure damage bonus (cancelling out the penalty to hit). I do understand that in some cases it can give an extra 2 points (two handed weapon) plus weapon size increase (3 points maybe). Of course, a buddy casting enlarge person will do the same thing. The 2 size increase seems fair for the barbarian level investment. I think I will leave it as-is. 3 probably does push it too far (even though level 20 would be required). --Andrew Arnott (talk, email) 17:47, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Does this stack with Enlarge person, or is it an enlarge mechanic (note it there for safety "This does not stack with Enlarge person and Expand.")? There are Hulky things that stack with enlarge for Raging Hulk. I would rather do the 2 categories at Mighty Rage. Only the meanest, baddest, badassest of hulkers can megahulk :P. It would limit the class combo getting too out of hand "relatively early". Hm... Giantkin Barbarian 11/Hulk 8 taking large/huge feat and Hulking rage = colosal +4? "Hulk smah puny Elder Red Dragon worm!" --Sergejsvk 09:10, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
It works as the expansion power, so it doesn't stack with other size increasing effects. I've always liked the raging hulk PrC and this was my way of having a hulk be possible from level 1 :). I think barbarian 11 is fair for 2 size categories. A psywar can do it at level 7 after all. --Andrew Arnott (talk, email) 11:45, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
