Wish 1/hour[]

Ignoring material costs by turning it into a ritual is just dandy, but ignoring the xp costs might lend for some serious breaking. A free wish every hour or a free gate to summon my army of solars? Those things are powerful enough as is. While I wouldn't mind an XP reduction, I don't quite thing it should be completed negated, not this easily, even for wizard level. -- Eiji Hyrule 10:20, March 17, 2010 (UTC)

Eh, it's wizard-level. I go with my usual guiding principle with wizard-level stuff: as long as it's less powerful than Leadership, who cares? :-P --Ghostwheel 10:26, March 17, 2010 (UTC)
I think that's an awful way to balance wizard-level stuff, but my response to the wish criticism is: "...yeah, and?" This is expecting that you are already casting wishes out of monsters, and have been doing so for a while. Surgo 13:33, March 17, 2010 (UTC)

Prerequisite[]

Is there any reason for the caster level 1 prerequisite? Other SRD:Metamagic Feats don't have one. It seems pretty obvious that the lowered component cost should work for sorcerers as well as wizards, but since the text is in a metamagic feat the rules as written could be read to say that a sorcerer would need to lengthen the casting time of his spells to one full round to apply this feat spontaneously, which is obviously not fair. Hopefully people using homebrew are smart enough to think through the rules themselves... -Cedges 20:18, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Clarify please[]

The ignore 50gp/rank of Know(Arcana), is that for those spells not cast as a 1 hr ritual? --Be well 17:24, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
