FormattingEdit

Couple of formatting questions for you Sam, since I came over to rate it and some things stood out at me (and I don't know if we're doing things differently on the 4e side).

Is there a reason you're using a different author block here, or did it just not get changed in the move? About half of those categories seem unused, and the remainder are well supported in the author template. Also, I can't do the cool favor / rated by things with this one :-(.

Would you mind if I (or you for that matter) changed the subpage names to match the convention on the 3e side of things? It would look like "Arachonomicon; the Book of Spiderkind/All About Spiderkind", for example, and would make your table of contents links look like "{{FULLPAGENAME}}/All About Spiderkind#<Whatever>". Surgo or I will get around to it eventually if you don't feel like it but have no objections to it.

The author block is from the other wiki, and hasn't been changed (I'll fix that now). I'll go through and fix the page headings now, while I'm at it... I'm snowed in right now and haven't got much else to do! -- SamAutosig Sam Kay   talk    contribs    email   12:27, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

FavorEdit

RatedExcellent Tarkisflux's Favor
This article has been favored and rated Excellent by Tarkisflux, for the following reasons: Wow. There is a lot to love in this, even if you don't play 4e very much (like I don't). The ideas here are well presented and easy to convert, and the lovingly crafted fluff makes me want to do the work. This is an excellent sourcebook, either to use as is or to mine for ideas to make spiders in your games more than just crawly things.

RatedGood Jota II's Favor
This article has been favored and rated Good by Jota II, for the following reasons: There is a lot to like here, and I wish I could judge from a more balanced perspective, but knowing as little as I do about 4e that's unfortunately not in my capacity. Though a lot of this looks quite good on the surface, I feel there is a certain information overload aspect to parts of it, where some information is nice to have but ultimately not interesting and other information could benefit from being further segmented onto separate, unique pages or sub-pages, most notably in the first chapter. Later on, I think incorporating the other articles into the page as templates with {{Article Name}} (while still trying to keep the page lengths reasonable) might be better than constantly linking away from the chapter.
