Precocious Apprentice

By RAW, Precocious Apprentice defaults when you get a second-level spell for any class, be it arcane or divine. Thus, you could use Precocious Apprentice to get quickly into Cerebremancer, for example, but not into Mystic Theurge since clerics/archivists also cast spells and then you wouldn't be able to cast a 2nd-level arcane spell. --Ghostwheel 21:45, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

You are right, I assumed it worked only with Arcane spells, but it is not the case. Ezzetabi 22:22, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

What's it do for you?

What with the action economy, how does this let you be better than a sorcerer (for example) with a few wands or scrolls for utility spells along with minor UMD, especially taking into account that most encounters take around 3 rounds to beat, and most spellcasters only get through 1-3 spells per encounter? Where does the synergy come in? Why is this better than just going wizard or sorcerer / Incantatrix or IotSV or MotAO? --Ghostwheel 21:49, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
