Swordfish Fencing1ubDetail

Food fight! En gaurde! Attaque au fer! Hors devours!

What the eff?... did I just get hit with a fish?

Do not mock the might of the swordfish. Fishing communities far and wide have caught swordfish, and some, with the power of permenant spells of gentle repose and alchemy have preserved them for all time, for use in the noble art of swordfish fencing! Mighty is the swordfish with its power, great is its bulk making it difficult for only the strongest to hold. To use a swordfish you need both the exotic feat and a Str score of 13 to manage. But then... the magic comes alive.

Swordfishes can be used in underwater combat with no penalty. The encumbrance of a swordfish used underwater is quartered (to 25 lbs for a medium swordfish). Above water, swordfish carry a strange smell which irritates more sensitive noses

If you use a ready action to set a swordfish against a charge, you deal double damage on a successful hit against a charging character. A swordfish deals double damage when used from the back of a charging mount. While mounted, you can wield a swordfish with one hand.

Because of its sheer weight, swordfish can be used as part of a bull rush. You gain a +2 bonus on checks to bull rush your opponent, and if succeessful you deal damage as if struck by the weapon.

Swordfish, in hard times, can be eaten due to the preservative magic within, but have been known to cause indigestion and constipation.
