Stitcher Homunculus

Template:Creature Table

A tiny man made of bronze is working on repairing a torn dress. A pair of mantis-like arms sharp as needles quiver above him rapidly, stitching together with spider-like threads.

Stitcher Homunculi are creatures created by the spell Ell's Handy Homunculus. They are utilitarian workhorses, mending torn items good as new. They're popular in commoner communities where clothes are a valuable asset not to be wasted if possible.

Stitcher have a +8 racial bonus to Craft checks.

While generally constructs are neutral, a homunculi picks up the alignment of its creator on casting.

Combat

Handy homunculi make poor weapons. However when pressed it can stab with its threading spines. This is not a good idea of course.

Weaver (Su): A Stitcher Homunculus may employ Mending as the spell, at a CL equal to its HD at will.

Construction

The body is made of metal and spider webs, with the core crystal often embedded in the back. A drop of the caster's blood is mixed in with the webbing, which is placed in a hallow in the back and covered by the crystal that fuses tight on casting Ell's Handy Homunculus. The entire cost of supplies equals 500 gp.

Assembling the body requires a DC 15 Craft (metalworking) or Craft (weaving) check.

CL 1st; Ell's Handy Homunculus, Mending; Never sold; Cost 500 gp + 25 XP.
