A small blob of light bobs through the air lighting up the entire room. Its hue covers up the presence of a small, fairy like creature.
A spritelight homunculus is a creature created using the spell Ell's handy homunculus. They are guides and scouts, living lightbulbs that float around their master. They can adjust the light amount and color at will, and behave in a playful manner similar to the fey they resemble. They do have a humanoid form, smooth and lithe though oddly devoid of features.
A spritelight homunculus has a +8 racial bonus on Spellcraft checks.
While generally constructs are neutral, a spritelight homunculus picks up the alignment of its creator upon casting.
Spritelight homunculi make poor weapons. In fact, a spritelight homunculus possesses no means of attack or excellent defenses. Its humanoid form may allow it to carry objects and weapons sized for it, though it would not do much.
Light Glare (Ex): A spritelight homunculus constantly sheds light, as the light spell. It may dim the lights or re-apply them as a free action at will. When it is shining, it benefits from 20% concealment due to the glare obscuring its body.
The body is made of mashed plant material, salt, and clay, with the core crystal often embedded in the chest. A drop of the caster's blood is mixed in with the solution, which all fuses together into a perfect blend upon casting Ell's handy homunculus. The entire cost of supplies equals 500 gp.
Assembling the body requires a DC 15 Craft (cooking) or Craft (pottery) check.
