Quillchildren primarily speak Common, though a few learn Terran and Auran to communicate with the spirits and elements of the deserts that they tend to dwell in.

  • Quillchildren suffer a -2 to all social skills when interacting with different races. These penalties vanish when interacting with other Quillchildren.

  • Quillchildren burrow speed is 10 feet. The Quillchild may choose to move at 5 feet to leave a useable tunnel.
  • Quill Shower (Ex): Once every 1d4 rounds, a Quillchild can fire a spray of needles at a target, using all the bonuses that the quillchild would normally get to hit. These needles are paralytic in nature and a Fortitude Save is required to resist the poison. The formula for the poison is: DC = 10 + 1/2 Quillchild's level + Con modifier. The poison stuns the target for a round if the Fortitude save is failed. The max range of these needles is 30 ft, and the poison cannot be harvested, becoming inert once it leaves the spines of the Quillchild.
  • Automatic Languages: Common. Bonus Languages: Auran, Dwarven, Terran, Undercommon
