|Casting time:||1 standard action|
|Effect:||One prismatic sword of energy|
|Saving Throw:||See text|
A glowing shaft of light much like a longsword with an unusually long blade comes into effect. The semi-solid energy blade is a one-handed weapon that deals 1d8 damage (no type) plus your casting modifier to damage (Int or Cha for wizards and sorcerers respectively), with a 19-20/x2 critical range, and the blade may be extended anywhere from 5 to 10 ft. long as a free action, allowing you to attack at range. Attacks made with the energy sword are touch attacks, using your BAB plus your casting modifier to hit. Upon each successful strike, the opponent is subject to one of 8 random effects as if struck by a prismatic spray spell. Creatures struck by the sword with 8 HD or less are automatically blinded for 2d4 rounds. Spell resistance can negate a particular sword strike, but may not nessicarly prevent further attacks from the weapon. Check for spell resistance each time you hit.
On a critical hit, the secondary prismatic effects are not altered. If you have any feats or class abilities which apply to any one handed slashing swords, such as the long sword or scimitar, you may apply their effects to this spell. You may use weapon finesse with the prismatic sword.
