Skaunites are the wretched survivors of Tremm's Hex, the great curse that brought about the destruction of the Silver Empire. These unlucky people are hated throughout the Burning Lands, for they were the ones who turned the once fair Silver Desert into the wasteland it has become (or so claim the Legion), and met with prejudice and mistrust everywhere else. Tall and dark skinned, Skaunites bear the signs of a harsh life upon their skin. With little remembered culture of their own, Skaunites huddle in the slums of cities and scratch out a living however they can.

The Silver Curse: Despite its name, the Silver Curse is actually a racial disease and takes its name from the supposed history of those who bear it. It causes extreme sensitivity to sunlight and prolonged exposure causes a blistering rash to form. Every hour a significant portion(not such as a whole arm or leg) of the Skaunite is in direct sunlight he takes 10% of his maximum health in non lethal damage. Abrupt exposure to light blinds the Skaunite for one round. In exchange however, the Skaunite's skin has grown tough and resilient granting him +1 natural armor and an additional hit point per hit die.

Races of Mannon

Generally speaking, the actual difference of species in Mannon is quite sparse. Most of the people living in it are some sort of human; at least genetically speaking. However some of these human races are so far deviant from the norm that they can barely be identified as such. Even regular humans have different characteristics based on where they are from.

Global

Human

Humans make up the vast majority of Mannon. The difference in population between humans and other races is so great that even in relatively traveled regions there are those who have never seen non-humans.

Homeland: N/A(Humans are found virtually everywhere)

Racial Benefits: As SRD

Racial Drawbacks: As SRD

Starting Languages: The World Tongue

Endufo

Asheeven

Originating from the vast woodland kingdom of Ashariom(Land of the Children), the Asheevens are a proud and noble people. Defending their graceful cities with a burning passion, the Children of Ashari are deeply ingrained in their own culture and have little impact on the world around them. Known as "Red Elves" to foreigners due to their passing similarity to Dark Elves, the Children bear the brunt of many prejudices and as such find the association offensive.

Zengroda

Loorin

The Loorin are a mysterious and secluded race found almost entirely in the ancient realm of Deyja

Skaunite

Skaunites are the wretched survivors of Tremm's Hex, the great curse that brought about the destruction of the Silver Empire. These unlucky people are hated throughout the Burning Lands, for they were the ones who turned the once fair Silver Desert into the wasteland it has become (or so claim the Legion), and met with prejudice and mistrust everywhere else. Tall and dark skinned, Skaunites bear the signs of a harsh life upon their skin. With little remembered culture of their own, Skaunites huddle in the slums of cities and scratch out a living however they can.
