Kobold Paragon

All fear the surprising attacks of the Kobold Paragons, springing up out of the ground to slay their enemies in a swift and decisive battle.

Making a Kobold Paragon

The Kobold Paragon is effective at stealth, fast combat, and burrowing through the ground, but keeps the Kobold propensity for flimsiness.

Abilities: Although any melee character benefits from Strength and Constitution, the Kobold Paragon tries to use Dexterity whenever possible instead.

Races: Kobolds are the only ones who can be Kobold Paragons.

Alignment: Any. Kobolds tend to be lawful evil.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Kobold Paragon.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Kobold Paragons are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with the Tachi, and with light and medium armor.

Swift Digging (Ex): The Kobold Paragon can make a dig check with the Tachi in only 4 rounds.

Ears to the Earth (Ex): The Kobold Paragon suffers no penalties to Listen from obstacles.

Weapon Excellence: The character's Kobold Paragon level stacks with his Fighter level for the purpose of feat prerequisites.

Tachi Finesse (Ex): At level 2, the Kobold Paragon can use his Dexterity modifier, if higher, when making attack rolls with the Tachi.

First Thwack (Ex): At level 2, the Kobold Paragon can meditate for 1 minute to get a +2 bonus to the next attack roll he makes in the next hour. If the attack hits, it deals 1d8 points of extra damage. This damage is not multiplied on a critical hit, and does not affect things that are immune to critical hits.

Instant Digging (Ex): At level 3, once per hour the Kobold Paragon can make a dig check with the Tachi as a swift action, and add his Intelligence bonus to the attack roll.

Blinding Dirt (Ex): At level 3, the Reflex save DC for the Tachi's ranged attack becomes equal to 12 + half his total hit dice, rounded up. Creatures who fail the save are blinded for 1d4 rounds.

Ex-Kobold Paragons

Kobold Paragons who stop being Kobolds can no longer level up in Kobold Paragon.
