Template:Weapon Stats2

"Invented" by a gnome fighter who, after getting his weapon sundered, used a giant's arrow to defend himself and slay the giant he was fighting (or so the story goes), this weapon looks like a reversed shortsword; it has a one-foot-handle with a knifeblade attached to the end of it. This allows for more manouverability as well as the ability to do bludgeoning damage more easily. Furthermore, it can be used two handed because of the elongated handle, and it's lighter and cheaper than a shortsword. Adopted by some halfling thieves' guilds for its focus on dexterity, the knifestick was sometimes altered by adding a small y-shaped part at the end of the handle, so that it can be used to support open windows. This construction makes a quick getaway a bit more possible, with the additional benefit of having a weapon ready to be grasped when the need arises - in other words, while jumping through the opened window.
