Light armor classifies as being either no armor (obviously), leather, studded leather, and chain shirt (consult Player's Manual under the Equipment list, specifically armor, to see AC bonuses, Armor Check penalty, weight, and casting failure. If the ranger is wearing light armor, he gets the Manyshot, Rapid Shot, and Precise Shot feats without having the prerequisites; also: Two-weapon fighting, Improved two-weapon fighting, and Greater two-weapon fighting.
