A discblade is always of masterwork quality. Masterwork costs are not included in the above table. A product of gnome engineers, the discblade is a practical hand-held device that consists of a four-pronged rotary sawblade mounted to an engine. It provides the ability to cut things without the added tedium of constantly having to move your hand back and forth (which by the way can be a real pain considering that racial -2 to Strength). Discblades are usually powered by combustible oil or steam, but specimen have been spotted that were run by arcane magic. Magic-powered discblades are usually treated as such as well, and have at least a +1 enhancement bonus. Since gnomes only used discblades as tools, it was when humankind got their hands on proper discblade schematics that the tool saw its first application as a weapon. On a full attack action, a discblade's attacks are cumulative. The damage of all successful attacks is added together and resolved as if it were a single attack, making the discblade extremely effective against creatures with high damage reduction. Cumulative damage does not apply to attacks that are made out of turn, like attacks of opportunity. ----
