Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Ki Warrior.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Ki Warriors are proficient no armor or weapons.

When wearing armor, using a shield, or carrying a medium or heavy load, a Ki Warrior loses his AC bonus.

AC Bonus (Ex): When unarmored and unencumbered, the Ki Warrior adds his Wisdom bonus (if any) to his AC.

These bonuses to AC apply even against touch attacks or when the Ki Warrior is flat-footed. He loses these bonuses when he is immobilized or helpless, when he wears any armor, when he carries a shield, or when he carries a medium or heavy load.

Unarmed Strike: As a Monk

Ki Pool: A Ki Warrior has mastered the ability to use the body's latent energy to power his attacks. He gains a Ki Pool based off his class lvl and bonus Ki based off his Wisdom Modifier. A Ki Warrior may only spend an amount of Ki per round no greater then his class lvl. A Ki Warrior regains his Ki Points after a few minutes of relative calm (not in combat). When wearing armor, using a shield, or carrying a medium or heavy load, a Ki Warrior can only spend half his lvl in Ki per round.

There are two main uses for Ki, offensive Blasts and physical Enhancements. Blasts are standard actions that provoke attacks of opportunity while enhancements are immediate actions and last until the beginning of the Ki Warrior's next turn.

Improved Speed (Ex):A Ki Warrior's base speed increases 10ft per 1 Ki spent until his next turn. A Ki Warrior may only spend up to half his class lvl in Ki for this ability per round. Improved Speed is considered Enhancement bonus. Using Improved Speed is an immediate action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity.

Ki Blast (Ex): At 2nd lvl a Ki Warrior can fire a line of force at a target for 1d6 damage per 2 Ki spent (1d6 damage for 2 Ki, 2d6 damage for 4 Ki etc). This attack is considered a ray and requires a ranged touch attack to hit the target.

Combat Style (Ex): At 2nd level, a Ki Warrior must select one of two combat styles to pursue: Ki Blasts or Hail of Blows. This choice affects the character’s class features but does not restrict his selection of feats or special abilities in any way.

If the Ki Warrior selects Ki Blasts, he is treated as having the Ki Specialization feat, which adds +2 damage to all the Ki Warrior's Ki blasts.

If the Ki Warrior selects Hail of Blows, he is treated as having the Two-Weapon Fighting feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

The benefits of the Ki Warrior’s chosen style apply only when he wears no armor. He loses all benefits of his combat style when wearing any armor.

Resilience (Ex): At 3rd lvl a Ki Warrior can, as an immediate action, reduce the damage he is about to take by 1 point for every 1 Ki spent. This use of Ki does not count toward his normal Ki limit but he can only spend half his lvl in Ki (rounded down) per use.

Resistance (Ex): At 3rd lvl a Ki Warrior can, as an immediate action, gain a +1 insight bonus on a saving throw per 2 Ki spent. This use of Ki does not count toward his normal Ki limit but he can only spend half his lvl in Ki (rounded down) per use. This ability must be used before the saving throw is rolled.

Improved Ki Blast (Ex): At 4nd lvl the Ki Warrior can fire a line of force to unerringly strike a target for 1d6 damage per 3 Ki spent. Improved Ki Blast ignores all but total cover/concealment.

Ki Fist (Ex): Starting at 4th lvl a Ki Warrior can fuel his unarmed strikes with a temporary explosive charge of Ki. A Ki Warrior can deal an additional d6 force damage with an unarmed strike by spending 2 Ki to a max of 2d6. Multiple uses of this skill do not stack but can be applied to separate unarmed attacks in the same round.

Ki Strike (Ex): At 4th lvl a Ki Warrior can empower his unarmed attacks giving them an enhancement bonus of +1 per 2 Ki spent for 1 round. A Ki Warrior may only spend up to half his class lvl in Ki for this ability per round.

Flight (Ex): At 5th lvl a Ki Warrior may fly at a speed equal to 10ft per 2 Ki spent for 1 round. A Ki Warrior may Hover or fall as if under the effect of slow fall for 1 round for 1 Ki. A Ki Warrior may only spend up to half his class lvl in Ki for this ability per round.

Improved Combat Style (Ex): At lvl 6 a Ki warrior's mastery of his combat style improves.

If he choose Hail of Blows, he is treated as having the Improved Two-Weapon Fighting feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

If the Ki Warrior choose Ki Blasts, he is treated as having the Greater Ki Specialization feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat. Greater Ki Specialization adds the Ki Warrior's Wis Modifier to the damage of all his Ki Blasts. Greater Ki Specialization stacks with Ki Specialization.

Charged Ki Blast (Ex): At lvl 6 a Ki Warrior can continue to pump additional Ki into his Ki Blast as a full round action. A Ki Warrior can hold the charge for up 3 rounds (firing on the 3rd round) dealing 1d6 damage per 3 Ki spent. If the Ki Warrior takes damage while charging he must make a Concentration check DC= 10 + damage taken. A failed save results in losing all the stored Ki. If he fails the check by 5 or more the stored Ki explodes dealing damage to the Ki Warrior equal to the damage the blast would have done to the target.

Improved Ki Fist (Ex): Starting at 8th lvl a Ki Warrior can further fuel his unarmed strikes with a temporary explosive charge of Ki. Max damage per strike increases to 4d6. Multiple uses of this skill do not stack but can be applied to separate unarmed attacks in the same round.

Improved Flight (Ex): At 10th lvl a Ki Warrior may fly at a speed equal to 10ft per 1 Ki spent for 1 round. A Ki Warrior may now hover or slow fall as a move action. A Ki Warrior may only spend up to half his class lvl in Ki for this ability per round.

Combat Style Mastery (Ex): At 11th level, a Ki Warrior’s aptitude in his chosen combat style improves again.

If he choose Hail of Blows, he is treated as having the Greater Two-Weapon Fighting feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

If he choose Ki Blasts, he is treated as having the Ki Sight feat, which allows the Ki Warrior to add his Wis Modifier to his ranged touch rolls as well as his Dex.

Power Flight (Ex): At 15th lvl a Ki Warrior may fly at a speed equal to 10ft per 1 Ki spent for 1 round. A Ki Warrior may now hover or slow fall as an immedate action. A Ki Warrior may now spend spend his full lvl in Ki for this ability.
